Exploring Visa's Singapore Innovation Center: The Future of Fintech

International credit card organization Visa has established a "Visa Innovation Center" at its Asia-Pacific headquarters in Singapore, focusing on developing innovative payment solutions. Invited by CardU News, we observed at the scene where a large video wall showcased their fintech innovations, such as "Visa Accept" and "AI Smart Business Solutions." These services not only help small merchants with easy payment acceptance but also utilize AI technology to provide personalized travel plans.
At Visa's Innovation Center in Singapore, the employee count exceeds a thousand, primarily focusing on technology operations, compared to 50-60 employees in Visa's Taiwan and Hong Kong offices. The center was set up to assist financial institutions and startups in speeding up fintech implementation and experimentation, demonstrating innovative technologies.
The latest "Visa Accept" program allows small merchants to use NFC-enabled smartphones to accept various credit and debit card transactions, which were previously unattainable for many due to hardware acquisition costs. Furthermore, the AI Smart Business Solutions swiftly tailors travel plans based on individual preferences and manages all expenses, significantly improving transaction efficiency.
Visa emphasizes the rapid changes in fintech and aims to provide visitors with immersive experiences through the Innovation Center, addressing business challenges and developing new commercial opportunities.
