Pan Meng'an Speaks at Alaska Energy Conference, Promotes Taiwan-U.S. Energy Cooperation

To strengthen the bilateral partnership in energy transition between Taiwan and the U.S., Secretary-General Pan Meng'an participated at the 'Alaska Sustainable Energy Conference' held from the 2nd to the 5th of this month in Anchorage, Alaska, invited by the U.S. Department of Energy. Accompanying him were Deputy Minister of Economic Affairs Lai Chien-hsin and CPC Chairperson Fang Chen-jen.

During his speech, Pan emphasized that Alaska's abundant natural resources play a crucial role in enhancing energy resilience in the Indo-Pacific region, aligning with Taiwan's energy security strategy. He also stated that stable Taiwan-U.S. relations are the foundation for peace and prosperity in the region, and expressed Taiwan's desire to become a key player in technology development in the AI era.

Furthermore, he called for enhanced collaboration between Taiwan and the U.S. to tackle the challenges posed by authoritarian expansion and climate change, promoting a 'non-red supply chain' to strengthen economic resilience, and invited the guests present to visit Taiwan for a better understanding.
