The long-standing road resurfacing issue in the Swiss Villa area of Xinyi District has finally been resolved. The community has suffered from issues related to private pipeline replacement and road paving without assistance from public resources. City Councilor Han Shiyu and local village chief Wu Shijin conducted several site inspections and worked hard to advocate for a solution.

Ultimately, after coordination with various pipeline units, the water company agreed to fully replace the pipelines and pave the entire community road. The Swiss Villa area has over a hundred households that have faced issues with underground pipelines for water, electricity, gas, and telecommunications for many years.

The Keelung City Public Works Department stated that since the area is a private road, construction could only proceed after obtaining approval from the village chief and residents. After getting consent from every household, the full repair of the AC pavement can finally take place. Village Chief Wu Shijin has requested that the construction company notify him one week in advance before construction or water shutdowns and adhere to construction times to minimize public inconvenience.
