Taiwan Debuts as Theme Country at 2025 Seoul Book Fair

In a historic first, Taiwan will showcase its literary talents at the 2025 Seoul Book Fair as a theme country. A selection of 23 authors will present 550 titles, highlighting Taiwan's rich cultural diversity.
Organized by the Ministry of Culture, the National Culture and Arts Foundation, and the Taipei International Book Exhibition, the "Taiwanese Sensibility" theme will be expressed through six cultural perspectives. The event will also feature cultural exchange activities and discussions, allowing attendees to experience Taiwan's vibrant festival culture and ecological beauty.
Minister of Culture Lee Yuan emphasized the importance of literature, comics, and picture books as key avenues to showcase Taiwanese culture, marking this as a chance to present Taiwan to the world.
Chairman of the National Culture and Arts Foundation, Wang Shih-Szu, noted Taiwan's creative capacity for producing influential works that can be translated and adapted for the international stage, especially in Korea's film market.
