Trump Demands Iran's 'Unconditional Surrender'; Vance Hints at Possible U.S. Military Action

According to the Financial Times, U.S. Vice President JD Vance stated that President Trump 'may decide that further action is needed' to prevent Tehran from enriching uranium. Subsequently, President Trump called for Iran's 'unconditional surrender' on social media and described Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei as 'an easily attackable target.'

Vance posted on platform X, indicating that Trump 'is only interested in using the military to achieve American goals.' However, he also noted that such a decision ultimately rests with the president.

After Vance's remarks, Trump warned Khamenei on his Truth Social platform, calling him 'an easily attackable target.' Trump stated, 'We won't take him out, at least not now, but we don't want missiles aimed at civilians or American soldiers. Our patience is running out.'

His post demanding Iran's 'unconditional surrender' followed just minutes later. Trump declared that the U.S. now has complete control of Iranian airspace and emphasized that Iran's defenses 'can't compare to what the U.S. makes, designs, and produces.'

If the U.S. chooses direct military intervention, it may deploy B-2 stealth bombers stationed at Diego Garcia in the Indian Ocean to strike Iran's nuclear facilities, particularly the underground Fordow uranium enrichment plant, which is heavily fortified. Only U.S. B-2 or B-52 bombers with 30,000-pound bunker busters might be capable of destroying it.

Iran has stated it will only agree to negotiate to end the conflict and resume talks on the nuclear agreement if Israeli forces stop their bombing. Israel has launched multiple waves of missiles against Iran since last Friday, prompting Iran to retaliate with missile attacks across Israeli territory, leading to casualties on both sides.
