Hsinchu AIoT Accelerator Launches Fourth Edition, Startups Expand into Southeast Asia

The Director of the Hsinchu County Education Bureau, Yang Junzi, stated that through the "large supporting small" nurturing mechanism, they hope to assist startups with the roles of enterprises and entrepreneurial mentors.

The Hsinchu AIoT Accelerator has entered its fourth edition, leading five startup teams to participate in Asia's largest startup exhibition, InnoVEX, on the 22nd. The event titled "AI Hsinchu County: Expanding International Links" focused on AI trends and international market strategies. This event invited Southeast Asian funds, KPMG, and the startup company Jalen Intelligent Technology to discuss how to help startups expand into the Southeast Asian market with the support of government resources.

Hsinchu County Mayor Yang Wenge highlighted that Hsinchu boasts a complete technology supply chain, with competitiveness in semiconductor design and manufacturing to system integration, making it a global technology hub. Since its initiation in 2022, the AIoT Accelerator has attracted over 80 domestic and international startups and facilitated collaborations between more than 30 startups and 13 medium to large enterprises. Mayor Yang emphasized the desire to use the accelerator platform to establish Hsinchu as an international stage for young entrepreneurship, helping startups begin locally and move towards global markets.

During the event, Lee Yanshu, founder of the Southeast Asian fund, pointed out that the Southeast Asian market possesses high potential, with reasonable valuations and an improving investment environment, becoming an important option for startups looking to expand overseas. He also announced that this year, he would collaborate with the Hsinchu AIoT Accelerator to evaluate promising teams for a study tour to Singapore, promoting cross-border cooperation opportunities.

KPMG's Indonesian accountant, Yeh Jianlang, explained the market advantages of Southeast Asia, including rapid economic growth, government incentives for investment, and a high demand for digital transformation, providing rich opportunities for startups. Meanwhile, Huang Jianhao, co-founder of Jalen Intelligent Technology, shared practical experiences on how to successfully enter markets in Thailand, Malaysia, and Vietnam through AI technology and collaboration with local system integrators.

Director Yang Junzi added that the county government would continue to assist startup teams in participating in overseas exhibitions and business matchmaking efforts, lowering the barriers to exploring new markets and accelerating entry into international markets. This year’s accelerator also invited companies like ChipScreener, Qidian Technology, and Google to join the resource lineup, providing support in technology, venues, and market access, creating a practice platform named "Youth Innovation Spotlight, Bamboo Dream Realization".

The Hsinchu AIoT Accelerator is currently open for applications, with the deadline set for May 29, 2025 (Thursday) at 23:59. Interested teams may visit the "Hsinchu Youth Startup Resource Network" for more information or fill out the registration form. All excellent startup teams in Taiwan are warmly invited to participate and create a new chapter in technological innovation.
