Tainan Participates in New York Taiwan Cultural Festival to Boost Tourism

Tainan City participated in the Taiwan Cultural Festival held at Union Square in New York City, showcasing local souvenirs and cultural creative products while interacting with local residents.
The booth's theme revolved around Tainan's international tourism brand, "Truly Tainan," featuring a photo setup of the Anping Fortress along with a pinball game to engage attendees. Participants who passed the game received local gifts such as dried mango, attracting many American locals and overseas Taiwanese who were interested in Taiwanese culture.
Mayor Paul Kim of Palisades Park, New Jersey, along with Ambassador Lee Chih-chiang of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in New York and Director Chuang Ching-chen of the Taiwan Tourism Bureau's New York office, also visited Tainan's booth to support the staff and promote the charm of Tainan's culture.
Tourism Bureau Director Lin Kuo-hua stated that the city government continues to diversify its approaches to expand the international tourism market. Participating in international travel exhibitions and promotional activities allows for close interactions with local residents, gaining insights into international travelers' preferences and needs, thus creating a hospitable travel environment for all visitors to Tainan.
This participation was at the invitation of the Greater New York Taiwanese Community Alliance, taking part in the largest Asian event in New York, hoping to attract more overseas Chinese and international travelers to experience Tainan's diverse culture and unique charm.
