The Nantou Lantern Festival has received good news for 2025! The 'Flowing Light Art Zone,' created by three artists, has won the highest honor in the lighting event category at the Italy 'Roma Design Awards,' successfully bringing Nantou's cultural creativity to the international stage. To allow more people to experience the charm of this award-winning light zone, three large installations from the 'Flowing Light Art Zone' will be displayed at the Nantou Chocolate and Coffee Festival held in Puli's Fuxing Hot Spring Area from May 30 to June 8.
The county's tourism office noted that artist Wu Ci, Cai Jie Xin, and Zeng Wei Xiang were invited this year to create the installations 'Fengguang Beast,' 'Shiguang Beast,' and 'Toug Guang Beast,' which express the unique beauty of Nantou's natural landscapes and ecological environment while symbolizing guardians of the earth and life through mythological figures. The light zone incorporates a variety of lighting and LED energy-saving designs, integrating sound and light interactive technologies to create an immersive experience.
