The 2nd Cross-Strait Chinese Cultural Summit's Audiovisual Exchange and Cooperation Forum took place in Beijing on May 30. The event brought together 130 representatives from management bodies, leading media businesses, research institutions, and social organizations from both sides of the Taiwan Strait to discuss the theme of “Cultural Integration Development Across the Strait.”

Li Qiufang, President of the China Radio and Television Association, emphasized in her speech that the profound Chinese culture serves as a bond that connects the hearts of compatriots on both sides. She stressed the importance of recognizing and creatively transforming Chinese culture for both sides to jointly envision and attain a greater world.

She mentioned that as long as colleagues in the audiovisual sector on both sides hold to their confidence in Chinese culture, work hand in hand, and build more platforms for exchange and cooperation, they will explore new models of audiovisual development empowered by technology and expand the space for integrated development, thereby allowing Chinese culture to shine in the digital age.

Wang Weijiang, founding chairman of the Taiwan Association of Radio and Television Programmers, stated that the forum laid a solid foundation for future cooperation in the audiovisual industry across the Strait, and it is the duty of the audiovisual sector to fully showcase the shared Chinese culture in their programs, embodying the pride of being descendants of Yan and Huang.

At the event, 12 industry guests delivered presentations on topics such as the empowerment of the audiovisual industry through cutting-edge technologies like artificial intelligence, the current status and trends of new media in both regions, as well as exemplary cases of audiovisual cooperation.
