Recently, South Korean media reported that Kim Jong Un suddenly lost consciousness while directing the public in Wonsan, Gangwon Province, drawing significant attention. Multiple posts have circulated on social media claiming he was urgently sent to a specialist hospital in Pyongyang for a brain hemorrhage, with reports even stating he died after surgery by a French medical team.
In response, South Korea's intelligence agency quickly clarified, denying the authenticity of these reports and labeling them as false information. North Korean state media also released multiple photos on May 30 showing Kim Jong Un participating in important meetings and military activities, attempting to counter the rumors. Such speculation about Kim's health is not new; similar rumors circulated in April 2020 and July 2021.
