Indian Airlines Boeing 787 Crashes 30 Seconds After Takeoff, One British Passenger Miraculously Survives

An Indian Airlines Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, on a flight from Gujarat to London, crashed this afternoon (12th). Shortly after departing from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport, it issued an emergency signal and crashed at 13:17 hours. Surveillance footage reveals that the aircraft made an astonishing descent just 30 seconds after takeoff, erupting into a fireball upon impact.
The crash site is regrettably close to Civil Hospital Ahmedabad, and during the plane's uncontrolled descent, it affected a student dormitory, causing damage to the adjacent building. It was during the lunch break, and there were many students inside, raising fears of further casualties. Although the authorities have not yet released a complete passenger list or details of casualties, local police preliminarily stated that there were approximately 242 passengers and crew on board, initially believed to be all lost. However, earlier rescue workers found a survivor, a British national, who has been rushed to the hospital for urgent care, while rescue efforts continue for other injured and missing individuals.
In light of this tragedy, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) and the airline have launched an investigation. Aviation experts noted that from the images and flight path analysis, the aircraft may have encountered systemic failures or structural issues during the takeoff phase, with further details pending review of black box data.
