Philippines Ranked as the Most Dangerous Travel Destination! Iceland and Singapore in the Safety Top Two

According to the latest survey from the UK financial comparison site HelloSafe, the Philippines has been crowned as the 'most dangerous travel country' with a high score of 82.31. Following closely are Colombia, Mexico, India, and Russia, all of which are popular travel destinations.
This assessment is based on 35 criteria including natural disasters, violent incidents, armed conflicts, healthcare facilities, and militarization. A higher score indicates a greater risk. The 6th to 10th spots are occupied by Yemen, Indonesia, Somalia, Mozambique, and Pakistan. Recently, the Philippines has faced significant attention for security issues, with reports of tourists being robbed or kidnapped, leading to a slight decline in tourist numbers.
Statistics show that in the first four months of this year, the number of tourists was 1.93 million, a slight decrease of 0.83% compared to the same period last year. On the other hand, the safest travel countries are predominantly European, with Iceland ranking first (18.23 points), followed by Singapore (19.99), Denmark, Austria, and Switzerland. All these nations received safety scores around 22 points, significantly lower than the 70 points above for dangerous countries, indicating a high level of safety.
HelloSafe emphasizes that this ranking does not equate to travel attractiveness but is objectively based on safety risks, aiming to provide travelers with a practical reference for risks.
