Lin Chuang-Tso Appointed as Ambassador to Finland, Thrilling Metal Fans Worldwide

The Office of the President announced on the 19th that former legislator Lin Chuang-Tso has been appointed as the ambassador to Finland. Lin expressed on social media, "Let's move forward like this!" looking forward to meeting everyone in Helsinki. However, the opposition party has expressed several criticisms.
The New York Times reported that Lin's background as the lead singer of the heavy metal band Chthonic has ignited excitement among global metal fans, deeming this appointment "entirely appropriate."
According to the article from the 22nd, while diplomatic appointments typically do not attract the interest of global metal enthusiasts, Lin’s band has been hailed as the "Asian Black Sabbath," and Finland is recognized as the country with the highest per capita number of metal bands.
Lin has a close relationship with Finland’s music scene, having performed in major cities there. He stated that his long-term collaboration with Finnish music industry partners has given him a unique affection for the country. Furthermore, Chthonic has released four albums in collaboration with the Finnish label Spinefarm Records.
Since forming the band in 1995, Lin has created a heavy metal mythology that incorporates Taiwanese folklore, bringing international attention to Taiwan's situation through music and performances. Even though some in the opposition express doubt about his appointment, The New York Times emphasizes that it comes at a time when the Taiwanese president adopts a firmer stance towards China.
