The 2025 French Lifestyle Festival is back at Kaohsiung's Pier 2, drawing over ten thousand attendees eager to experience the rich French charm. This year's festival blends in marine themes and offers a variety of engaging activities. The first day's music performances feature Taiwan-France jazz singer Estelle Perrault, French musical theater actor Gauthier Herbin, and international musical actress Jaime Bono, delivering a classic French suite that thrilled the audience.

The weekend is packed with events! Popular KOLs Jiremi and Anna will host outdoor cultural lectures, and Wenzao University’s French department will hold its first outdoor French karaoke, inviting singing enthusiasts to join in. In Dazhi Park, there are interactive street art performances, while the Cultural Grassland area showcases giant comic artworks themed around the ocean by French illustrator Christopher Boyd.

Children can participate in a hands-on boat-making experience offered by Taipei's French Experimental Education Institution. Sports lovers should not miss the French petanque matches and the inaugural French coffee fun race in Kaohsiung. Notably, esteemed French chef Jean Tianqi is back with a pop-up restaurant at the festival, featuring classic French cuisine made with local Kaohsiung ingredients, promising a culinary feast. Additionally, the high culinary school Le Cordon Bleu will conduct exquisite French cooking demonstrations—an opportunity for attendees to enjoy delicious food while learning about authentic French cuisine. According to Zhang Yanqing, head of the Kaohsiung City Government’s Department of International Affairs, Kaohsiung is a vibrant and diverse harbor city.
