Five Bodies Found in Swiss Skiing Accident

Recently, five bodies of skiers were found on the peak of Rimpfischhorn near Zermatt, a luxurious Swiss resort. At the time of discovery, the individuals showed no signs of life. The identities of the victims and the cause of the accident are still under investigation.

This incident occurred near the Italian border. On Tuesday afternoon, climbers discovered four abandoned pairs of skis near the summit and promptly notified the authorities. The police deployed rescue helicopters to search the area, quickly locating the bodies of three skiers in an avalanche zone, followed by the discovery of two more bodies and another ski.

The Swiss police stated, "The bodies of the five victims were quickly found." Rimpfischhorn stands nearly 4,200 meters high and is popular among backcountry skiers. The climbers spotted the abandoned skis at an altitude of about 4,000 meters.
