Kao-hsiung Metro's Mikan Station Master to Launch Pop-up Store in Arashiyama, Japan

The mascot of Kao-hsiung Metro, Mikan Station Master, is gaining fame in Japan as an international tourism ambassador. Following a collaboration with Japan's Enoshima Electric Railway last September, a tripartite collaboration is being expanded this year. A pop-up store will open in Japan's Arashiyama in June, offering limited-edition stamps, postcards, and adorable Mikan figurines. Additionally, a Mikan prepaid card figurine dressed in 'Enoshima' and 'Arashiyama' uniforms will be released in Taiwan in August to capitalize on this opportunity.
The manager of the Kao-hsiung Metro Media Department, Zhang Yuwei, mentioned that collaborations with Japan's Arashiyama and Enoshima Electric Railways date back to an earlier time. The pop-up store will be present at Arashiyama Station from June 6 to 8, where participants can collect stamps and exchange them for cute keychains.
In addition to postcards, the pop-up store will allow visitors to collect limited edition stamps from Enoshima Electric Railway, Arashiyama, and Kao-hsiung Metro, which can be exchanged for Mikan name tags, and purchase cute Mikan dolls. In Taiwan, the limited edition Mikan prepaid card figurines will also go on sale at the Cultural Expo in August.
Citizens believe that the increased international visibility of Mikan Station Master is a positive development.
