Despite a ban from the party central on local leaders sharing the stage with Wu, several have chosen to disregard these orders.
Li Hsiao-Liang, leading the recall efforts, revealed they have only collected over 8,000 signatures, falling short of the required threshold, urging residents of Zhongzheng-Wanhua to quickly sign as time is running out.
