Kuomintang Chairman Zhu Lilun Launches 'Patriot Action' to Oppose Recall Election, Yu Beichen Suggests Renaming to 'Obstacle' Citizens

As the recall action against KMT legislators across Taiwan approaches its third voting stage, Kuomintang Chairman Zhu Lilun announced yesterday (11th) the launch of 'Patriot Action' to counter the recall. Taoyuan City Councilman Yu Beichen questioned, which country Zhu's so-called 'patriotism' refers to? He bluntly stated that the 'love' in 'Patriot Action' should be renamed 'obstacle,' asserting that not recalling these legislators would hinder 'the safety and development of the Republic of China.'
Facing the imminent recall, Zhu declared that the KMT would enter 'combat readiness' and initiate 'Patriot Action' to discuss strategies with local mayors. New Taipei City Councilman Zhuo Guanting pointed out in the program 'Taiwan Moving Forward' that Zhu has been merely 'changing terminologies' lately, saying it’s merely 'changing the soup without changing the medicine,' creating dissatisfaction among the public.
Yu Beichen lamented that every time the KMT launches new measures, they only shout 'combat slogans' without presenting actual tactics or strategies, which will forever remain as 'adjectives.' Regarding Zhu's 'Patriot Action,' Yu found it ironic, as these KMT legislators do not seem to love the Republic of China or understand which side they stand on. He further questioned if anyone in the KMT dared to publicly oppose communism? Yu believes that the so-called 'Patriot Action' lacks discussion and remains vague, suggesting it should be renamed to 'Obstacle Citizens' to prevent these legislators from 'obstructing' the nation's security and development.
