Fathers Clash Over Pokémon Arcade Game, One Returns Home to Threaten with a Machete

In New Taipei City's Xindian district, a conflict arose over parenting issues when a father named Chen was dissatisfied with another boy's continued teasing of his son at a Pokémon arcade game. He requested that the other child's father intervene, leading to a verbal altercation. The other father then returned home, fetched a machete, and came back to threaten Chen.
Witnesses described how a man in red on a motorcycle confronted a man in black, who then abruptly drew a machete, swinging it menacingly. Bystanders quickly intervened, subduing the aggressor and reporting the incident to the police. The store owner also recounted that a parent came in asking to secure the knife.
This incident took place around 6 PM on the 24th, with both fathers present with their children enjoying the games. Chen expressed frustration at the other child’s disruptive behavior and sought discipline, but the situation escalated dramatically. Thankfully, no one was injured, but the aggressive father faced legal action for making threats.
