Apex Technologies (7796) has announced a strategic partnership with European edge AI chip startup Axelera AI. The two companies will showcase their latest edge AI technology at this year's COMPUTEX exhibition. This collaboration aims to enter fields such as drones, border security, and campus safety, creating a new model for high-performance AI inference.

This partnership combines Axelera AI's high-performance AI chip platform with Apex's AI model integration and system optimization capabilities, aiming to deliver more flexible and efficient edge AI solutions, helping global system integrators and end customers seize new smart application opportunities. Apex’s Vice President, Wang Jun-kai, noted that there is a growing demand for AI solutions that are both instantaneous and low-power. This collaboration is expected to accelerate the realization of AI applications.

Apex Technologies and Axelera AI revealed a real-time visual recognition platform utilizing dual Metis PCIe AI accelerator cards, supporting 8K video streaming and high-precision object detection algorithms, achieving data center-level AI processing capabilities on edge devices.
