Trump Considers Redirecting Harvard's Federal Funds to Vocational Schools

Relations between U.S. President Trump and Harvard University are increasingly strained as he has recently announced the removal of federal funding for the university and plans to ban the admission of international students. On Monday (26th), he stated on his social media platform Truth Social that he is considering reallocating $30 billion in funding originally designated for Harvard to vocational schools across the U.S. He remarked, 'Retrieving these funds from Harvard and investing them in technical schools will be a tremendous investment for America.'

Trump emphasized that his administration's focus is on American manufacturing, highlighting the need for skilled workers to address challenges in the industry. Given the severe shortage and aging of skilled technicians, this reallocation plan is urgent.

Furthermore, he criticized Harvard's intake of international students, questioning the potential safety risks they might pose, and called for Harvard to provide a list of international students for evaluation. He pointed out that Harvard has been slow to provide this information, possibly for a reason.
