2025 Dual City Championship Concludes with Spectacular Celebration; Participants Look Forward to Next Event in Japan

The 2025 Dual City Championship concluded successfully at the New Taipei City Museum, where the closing ceremony took place on the 30th, attracting over 25,000 athletes and officials from 107 countries.
With clear skies, the organizers utilized technology and sound design to provide a stunning visual and emotional experience for the audience and athletes. The opening performance revisited the highlights of the event, and the 草屯囝仔 band infused local cultural elements that energized the atmosphere.
As night fell, representatives from various sports entered the venue, symbolizing cultural fusion and shared glory. Theme song performer, 葛西瓦, ignited the celebratory atmosphere with the performance of 敬夢想 Non-Stop alongside dancers.
Sergii Bubka, the president of the International Masters Games Association (IMGA), expressed gratitude to all competing athletes and acknowledged the professionalism and warmth showcased by the dual cities. New Taipei City Mayor 侯友宜 and Taipei City Mayor 蔣萬安 shared their passion for sports and their personal competition experiences.
The closure climaxed with the handover of the IMGA flag, as 松本正義, representing the next host city of Japan's Kansai region, received the flag and expressed anticipation for welcoming friends worldwide in 2027. The subsequent fireworks display capped off the celebration, closing the event on a high note.
