Could the MDP's National Governance Briefing be Warm-up for 2026 Blue-White Alliance?

Reporters Liao Pin-Chun and Huang Cheng-Chieh/Comprehensive report
Chairman of the MDP, Huang Kuo-Chang, led party officials to participate in a dragon boat racing activity in New Taipei City. Despite finishing last in the group stage, many supporters still attended to cheer. Holding a 15% approval rating, the MDP is rumored to hold a national governance briefing in June and July before the third stage of the recall vote against KMT legislators, providing a platform for them to campaign. Is this preparing for the Blue-White Alliance for the 2026 and 2028 elections?
In addition to Huang Kuo-Chang's participation in the dragon boat racing, KMT legislators Hong Meng-Kai and Su Chiao-Hui also welcomed the deity in Tamsui, increasing the election atmosphere. Despite not having district legislators, the MDP, as the third largest party, is still participating with a 15% support base and is assisting in the recall movement.
Huang Kuo-Chang stated: "We will have many activities ahead, and we welcome all friends who support this concept, regardless of political affiliation. Friends from the KMT who recognize the reforms we are pushing forward are also welcomed." From the Legislative Yuan to national governance briefing, the MDP is providing the KMT with enough platforms. Is this a warm-up for the 2026 and 2028 elections?
On the other hand, Su Chiao-Hui of the DPP criticized, "The blue and white legislators do not reflect on themselves but use recalls to oppress others. What the people want to see is that they can reflect on their behavior over the past year and a half, allowing the Congress to return to a place where essential bills can be discussed."
During this time Huang Kuo-Chang was in Luchou and, in the afternoon, both Su Chiao-Hui and Hong Meng-Kai participated in welcoming the deity, trying to ease the tense election atmosphere.
