Li Yongxiang, the CEO of the Metal Center (front row, center), along with his team, attended the 2025 Edison Awards press conference, showcasing multiple innovative technological achievements, winning one gold, two silver, and one bronze award, bringing glory to Taiwan.

The award-winning project, the "3D Magnetic Positioning ICH Surgical Navigation System", was developed in collaboration with neurosurgeon Zheng Yuwen from Kaohsiung Veterans General Hospital. This system utilizes 3D visual positioning technology to expand surgeons' operational visibility, ensuring accurate and deep thrombus removal, thus enhancing treatment success rates and safety.

This year, the Metal Center, supported by the Ministry of Economic Affairs, excelled in the Edison Awards, one of the world’s most prestigious innovation prizes, particularly focusing on areas such as "AI technology and smart healthcare". The awarded technologies not only demonstrate Taiwan’s leading advantages in metal material manufacturing, medical devices, and cybersecurity but also offer groundbreaking applications for the industries involved.

Other notable winners include the "Miniaturized High-Efficiency Welding Collaborative Robot", which addresses welding challenges for large metal structures, and the "AI-Optimized Electrical Discharge Machining Equipment" for aerospace applications, enhancing machining processes by over 50% in time and substantially improving precision. The bronze award for "IoT-based Unrecognizable Feature Encryption System" emphasizes data security with robust mechanisms for encrypted and secure data management.

The Metal Center continues to push for innovative R&D, having won 15 Edison Awards over the past eight years, showcasing its deep research capabilities across diverse technologies. In the future, it aims to facilitate the alignment of Taiwan’s innovative technologies with international markets while promoting intelligent upgrades and sustainable development.
