Cao Hsing-cheng: A Massive Recall is the Best Way to Commemorate June 4th

Former United Microelectronics Corporation chairman Cao Hsing-cheng attended the "36th Anniversary of June 4th Commemoration" and emphasized that when remembering June 4th, it is important to acknowledge that sovereignty belongs to the people, and to pursue self-determination while dismantling the Chinese Communist Party's tyranny for true freedom.
On the 36th anniversary of the Tiananmen Square incident, Cao stated that discussing democracy with a regime like the CCP is futile, and that a massive recall is the best way to honor the memory of those who were killed in the square. The event organized by the Taiwan People's Democratic Foundation and other organizations at the Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall called for resistance against cross-border oppression and rejection of China's expanding totalitarianism.
Cao pointed out that Taiwan must protect its own sovereignty and emphasized that for China to democratize, each province must establish its own council and reclaim its sovereignty, thereby preventing the CCP from gaining a foothold. He stated that the key to future dialogue with China lies in the phrase: "sovereignty belongs to the people, self-determination for the people."
This will enable Taiwan to effectively defend its independence and counter the CCP's aggression.
