Public Vehicle Controversy Erupts Again as DPP Legislators Accused of Hotpot Dinner

A recent report has accused members of the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) of misusing government vehicles by allegedly traveling to a well-known hotpot restaurant in Taipei on January 10. Among those mentioned are legislators Wu Siyao, Wu Peiyi, and Huang Jie. In response, Wu Siyao clarified that she took a taxi to the restaurant and shared a ride back with other legislators, adhering to regulations.

Outside the famous hotpot restaurant in Ximen, several DPP legislators were photographed leaving the venue, sparking public debate about the appropriate use of official vehicles. Many citizens voiced their concerns, stating that public vehicles should be reserved for official duties, not personal outings.

Legislator Lin Chuyin highlighted similar actions by the Kuomintang, pushing for a review of existing regulations regarding vehicle usage. The incident has drawn significant attention, leading legislators to quickly clarify their positions to safeguard their reputations and that of their party.
