LaLaport Nangang Shopping Center Experiences Issues Within 3 Months of Opening, Users Mock

The LaLaport shopping center in Nangang has been attracting numerous visitors since its grand opening in March this year. (Photo by Fang Wanmin) Developed in collaboration with Taiwan Life Insurance and Mitsui Fudosan, the shopping center represents a 40 billion NT$ investment and took 6 years to complete. However, recent reports from visitors have highlighted that the underground parking lot, which charges NT$80 per hour, has been showing signs of wear and tear in less than 3 months since its opening, with cracked floor tiles and visible repair marks on the walls. This has sparked heated discussions online, with many netizens mockingly questioning its quality, coining the phrase 'It really is falling apart!' in reference to LaLaport. Mitsui Group has responded by stating they will prioritize repairs after conducting inspections with the building owner.
