California Immigration Raids Spark Protests! Trump Praises Deployment of National Guard

A U.S. federal immigration enforcement operation in Los Angeles has ignited intense protests, with hundreds taking to the streets. President Trump has ordered 2,000 National Guard troops to Los Angeles and issued a ban on protesters wearing masks. This move has drawn a sharp retort from California Governor Newsom, who criticized Trump and the Secretary of Defense for escalating tensions.
The protests began on the evening of the 6th after the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) arrested at least 44 individuals in Los Angeles. Demonstrators gathered near the detention center, but despite police eviction orders, some refused to disperse, leading to clashes with law enforcement that left two officers injured.
Trump praised the National Guard on social media and expressed dissatisfaction with the Los Angeles mayor's response. He emphasized that protesters should not conceal their identities while allowing officials to wear masks for their safety.
