US-China Trade Talks Conclude in London: Agreement Reached and Future Outlook

Recently, US and Chinese trade representatives concluded their second round of formal negotiations in London since the onset of the trade war. After two days of intense discussions, both sides reached a framework agreement late on the night of October 10. US Secretary of Commerce Lutek noted that the meeting aimed to eliminate negative elements between the two countries, with the most significant outcome being a reaffirmation of the consensus reached in Geneva.

The Chinese delegation was led by Vice Premier He Lifeng, which included Commerce Minister Wang Wentao and other senior officials. The US side was led by Treasury Secretary Bencet and Trade Representative Greer. Both parties emphasized the importance of dialogue for advancing negotiations.

Lutek stated that the agreement would remove some current export restrictions and promote the trade flow of critical resources, which will positively impact future economic cooperation between the two countries.
