Musk Appeases Trump: My Tweets Went Too Far
After receiving the 'Key to the White House' from Donald Trump last month, Elon Musk finds himself at odds with the former president. The billionaire publicly clashed with Trump online last week, engaging in a series of vitriolic exchanges. Following the fallout, Musk appears to have had second thoughts, as he tweeted on Wednesday (11th) expressing regret over his remarks toward Trump, stating they were indeed 'over the top.'
In a post made at around 2 AM Texas time, Musk wrote: 'I regret some of the posts I made last week about President Trump; they were extreme.' Almost immediately, followers expressed their hopes for a reconciliation with comments like, 'We want this (Trump-Musk relationship) back. Make America great again. Call Trump.' During the previous week, Musk had even suggested impeachment for Trump and claimed that the delay in releasing documents related to underage sex trafficking by Jeffrey Epstein was because Trump was on Epstein's guest list.
