KMT's Motion for Reconsideration to be Addressed on June 13, Says Han Kuo-yu

On the afternoon of June 10, Han Kuo-yu convened negotiations with both ruling and opposition party groups to discuss matters including the 'Phase 5 Special Budget for Forward-Looking Infrastructure Projects' and the 'Judicial Yuan Personnel Consent Rights' bill. According to the consensus reached on June 6, Han announced that the KMT's motion for reconsideration would be addressed on June 13.

This personnel consent rights bill was completely stalled in the Legislative Yuan last year. On March 21, President Lai Ching-te nominated seven candidates for the Constitutional Court and sent the nomination message to the Legislative Yuan. Although the agenda was referred for review on April 25, the process has been delayed due to a reconsideration motion by the KMT.

The KMT's motion includes the nomination of the seven justices and seeks re-resolution by the assembly. Han expressed hope that this matter could proceed smoothly in the assembly.
