Israel Launches Historic Airstrikes, Wreaks Havoc on Iranian Nuclear Facilities and High Officials

Israel carried out its largest airstrike in over 40 years, deploying 200 fighter jets against Iran. The strikes targeted Iran's 'Natanz' nuclear facilities, with claims of successfully eliminating three top Iranian military officials, including the Chief of Staff and Air Force Commander, aiming to incapacitate Iran's nuclear weapons capabilities. Following this, a second wave of strikes targeted 10 sites in northwestern Iran, including military and airport facilities.
U.S. President Trump praised the success of the airstrikes and urged Iran to quickly reach a nuclear deal with the United States. Reports from Tehran indicated loud explosions shook the capital, with residents aware that this was no ordinary blast.
The Israel Defense Forces confirmed that the operation, dubbed 'Awakening Lion', struck over 100 targets, including the headquarters of the Revolutionary Guards and major uranium enrichment sites. Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu asserted that Iran has the capability to produce nuclear warheads, necessitating a preemptive strike to eliminate the threat.
As tensions escalated, Iran threatened retaliation, with experts suggesting possible attacks on U.S. or Israeli bases, or blocking the Strait of Hormuz. This conflict sparked global economic turmoil, with oil and gold prices sharply rising.
Trump emphasized that the U.S. was not involved in the attack, but many analysts believe Iran may perceive the U.S. as complicit due to their alliance with Israel. Future developments in this situation are being closely monitored.
