International Youth Creative Base Spring Festival Journey Concludes, Showcasing Chinese Culture

The International Youth Creative Base Spring Festival Journey, organized by the Zhejiang Provincial Journalists Association International Communication Professional Committee and the Zhejiang International Communication Center (ZICC), successfully concluded with participation from international friends living in Hangzhou, Jinhua, Ningbo, and Lishui. The event aimed to showcase the charm of Chinese Spring Festival culture through the eyes of international youth.

During the event, six foreign guests were appointed as ZICC's 'Global Cultural Ambassadors,' bringing the total to nearly 20.

Launching in Hangzhou, the participants deeply appreciated the cultural heritage at the South Song De Shou Palace Ruins Museum. Guided by artisans of intangible cultural heritage, they hands-on tried the peach charm printing techniques and crafted exquisite mother-of-pearl artworks, gaining an authentic understanding of China's rich intangible cultural heritage.

At the Jiaxing Zongzi Museum, international friends learned traditional Zongzi wrapping techniques, while an Italian chef creatively incorporated unique ingredients into specialty Zongzi that caught everyone's attention. The experience of playing the ocarina at the Shiyan Ocarina Music Museum and the cultural gathering by the riverside, featuring tea brewing and calligraphy, added further cultural interest.

Additionally, in Lishui's Qingtian County, foreign friends not only experienced seal carving art but also enjoyed the fun of catching fish in the fields. This cultural exploration vividly showcased the diverse charm of Zhejiang's cultural landscape, and the exciting stories of the Spring Festival will be shared globally through their perspectives.
