Yujun Jung Surprises with Lead at Korean Open
In the Kolon Korea Open presented by ELORD, qualifying player Yujun Jung has taken the lead at La Vie Est Belle Golf Club's Dunes Course, shooting a remarkable 65 (six under par). This performance is surprising, as he only started participating in the Korean Tour two years ago and has never previously placed in the top ten, with his best finish being tied for 14th.
Jung stated, "The course was harder than during the qualifying rounds. The pin positions were tricky, the greens were fast, and the tee boxes were pushed back." He expressed satisfaction with his performance today, achieving six birdies and no bogeys. Following him are Thailand's Phachara Khongwatmai and Australia's Jed Morgan at 68, creating an intense competition.
