The Culinary Team from Chia-Nan University participated in the 2025 Seoul International Culinary Challenge in mid-June, led by instructor Tseng Kai-Hsun, securing 3 silver medals, 4 bronze medals, and 8 honorable mentions.
This prestigious event, recognized by the World Association of Chefs Societies with C-level official accreditation, attracted 650 top competitors from Taiwan, South Korea, Singapore, China, Thailand, the Philippines, Australia, Indonesia, Italy, and Hong Kong, marking the largest scale in its ten-year history. Instructor Tseng not only guided the team but also served as a judge for categories such as 'Meat and Poultry Main Dishes' and 'Professional Chef Challenges,' showcasing his professional stature in the international culinary field.
Graduating student Li Min-Hao participated in his first international competition to conclude his university life on a high note. Zhang Guan-Jie, nominated as one of Taiwan's representatives for the 2025 Best Chef, although he did not win, still gained invaluable experience. Sun Ming-Chong, after winning a bronze medal last year in Penang, earned silver this year with his dish, 'Three-Color Italian Dumpling Wrapped Chicken Mousse with Chicken Roll and Red Sauce.'
