TSMC Invests $193 Million in US Corporate Bonds to Strengthen Fixed Income Strategy

TSMC announced today (17th) at 5:57 PM that its wholly-owned subsidiary, TSMC Global Ltd., purchased 200,000 units of US corporate bonds, with code '38141GYM0', from June 6 to June 17 of this year, at a price of $96.40 per unit, totaling $193 million. This move indicates TSMC's continuous efforts to strengthen its fixed income asset allocation strategy.
According to the announcement, following this transaction, TSMC Global Ltd. will hold a total of 1.533 million units of this corporate bond, amounting to $1.478 billion, with no pledges or restrictions involved. This investment is classified as purely investment-oriented without any related party background. TSMC indicated that this investment falls under fixed income asset operations, and according to the latest financial report, securities investments account for 5.80% of the company's total assets and 7.67% of the equity attributable to the parent company, indicating that capital allocation remains quite robust.
