Trump Administration Extends TikTok's US Operations by 90 Days

Following the announcement in early April to extend TikTok's US operations by 75 days, the Trump administration has signed a new executive order, allowing an additional 90 days for TikTok to continue its business in the US. This move comes as the previous grace period is about to expire.

Since January, the Trump administration has granted TikTok three opportunities for extension, ensuring it remains unaffected by the Biden administration's demands for a ban if not sold. Currently, the TikTok app is back on the App Store and Google Play Store in the US.

A White House spokesperson stated that President Trump does not wish for TikTok to cease operations entirely within the US and has provided this additional 90 days for the app to find a suitable buyer, ensuring that American users can securely access TikTok services. Rumors have circulated about Amazon's interest in acquiring TikTok's US operations, as well as potential bids from YouTuber 'MrBeast' and the Project Liberty team.
