2025 Taiwan's Best French Cream Dessert Champion Emerges, Winner to Train at Ducasse Culinary School in France

2025 Taiwan's Best French Cream Dessert Champion Emerges, Winner to Train at Ducasse Culinary School in France

The "3rd Taiwan's Best French Cream Dessert Chef Competition" hosted by the French Dairy Products Association (CNIEL) and the European Union (EU) recently held its finals in Taipei, featuring five dessert chefs from different backgrounds across Taiwan. This year's theme was to create three desserts inspired by "cocktails", requiring participants to design two large cakes for eight people, five plated desserts, and five free-form desserts, all using French cream as a core ingredient.

A panel of four renowned pastry chefs served as judges, including Chef Una Han Hui-Ting, Chef Allen Chen Hsing-Wei, Master Li Guo-Yi, and Chef Manuel Bouillet. The judging panel noted that the overall quality of the entries was exceptionally high, showcasing not only the participants' individual styles in concept but also impressive technical and flavor design. The champion was Li An-Hsin, with Yao Zi-An as the runner-up and Lei Hao-Wei securing third place. The three chefs displayed exquisite desserts with a beautiful structural aesthetic, embodying the spirit that "French cream is the protagonist and soul of desserts." The champion will train at the Ducasse Culinary School in France, the runner-up will receive a stay at a five-star hotel in Taiwan, and the third-place winner will enjoy a dinner at a fine French restaurant.
