The South Korean presidential election took place today (March 3), with voting closing at 8 PM local time. Three major television networks announced at midnight that Lee Jae-myung's victory is 'certain,' and he expressed gratitude to the public, stating, 'I pay tribute to the great decision of the people.'
As of now, the counting is still ongoing, with Lee Jae-myung holding a 48.99% vote share compared to 42.66% for the People Power Party's Kim Moon-soo. The gap continues to widen as votes are counted.
