The tragedy took place last Friday in Honiton, Devon. The 48-year-old mother originally intended to jump from 7000 feet but spontaneously opted for 15000 feet. Her partner, Scott Armstrong, observed from a distance through binoculars that one of the parachutes did not open and rushed to the landing site with their son.
Unfortunately, by the time they arrived, both Belinda and the instructor were pronounced dead. The skydiving company that organized the jump, 'Skydive Buzz,' frequently conducts such activities in that airspace.
Devon police stated that they responded to reports of two skydivers in distress but, regrettably, both were confirmed dead at the scene. Scott, devastated by the loss, expressed his anguish, stating that Belinda was his whole world and highlighting her selfless nature as a mother.
